Hong Kong International Airport

OTC led the airport terminal planning of the new Midfield Concourse (MFC) at HKIA, with 20 wide-body gates and all associated retail, lounge, and passenger service facilities; arriving passengers concourse with transfer facilities; an Automated People Mover (APM) station and expansion of the Terminal 1 West Hall APM station; baggage handling areas; and airline and other support space. OTC developed detailed plans for all terminal functional areas using passenger flow analysis, benchmarking to Terminal 1 and other international airports, and extensive consultation with stakeholders.

In an earlier Study, OTC led the airport terminal planning during the Preliminary Design of the MFC, exploring various concourse shapes and configurations.
