Terminal 1 Capacity Enhancements

OTC led the airport terminal planning for this expansion of Terminal 1 at HKIA, to improve the passenger experience and increase processing capacity for the near future. OTC developed several options providing cost-effective solutions balancing short-term needs with long-term uses, including an enlarged check-in hall and baggage claim hall, a new staff canteen and administrative offices, expanded early bag storage facilities, a temporary coach station, and the extension of an existing car park.
In terms of the airside planning, the project will expand passenger facilities and amenities around the East Hall retail hub, including an expanded food court, outdoor terrace, children’s playground, and new airline services desks.
